Sumatran Tiger Head Oil Painting quick summary demonstration
I started another Sumatran Tiger big cat painting today, I’ll pop a few progress photosย every now and then.
I kept the under-painting rather minimalist, the only real areas are light and dark, and the contrast between them is not that great, so painting is made fairly easy and straight forward.
The transparent Indian Yellow, is built up in layers to give a bit of depth to the tigers fur.
All yellow areas are Indian Yellow only. and the difference in colour, is simply thicker coats of paint in that are in that area.
The dark’s are a mixture of Navy Blue and Burnt Sienna.
Tiger Oil Painting nearly completed.
The fur is coming along nicely
I will be adding the eyes next
Sumatran Tiger Head – Close up Eye Details from painting
The eyes are now finished
My Tiger oil painting is nearing completion as shown in the photo above
Tiger Oil Painting Nearing Completion
This Tiger Oil Painting is nearly finished, I just need to add the whiskers and a brush stroke or two.
